In this paper we study the continuous time optimal portfolio selection problem for an investor with a finite horizon who maximizes expected utility of terminal wealth and faces transaction costs in the capital market. Abstract In desalination, similarly with other industries, the cost of the final product is one of the most important criteria that define the commercial success of a specific technology. SUMMARYParasites manipulate their hosts’ phenotype to increase their own fitness. Like any evolutionary adaptation, parasitic manipulations should be costly. Though it is difficult to measure costs of the manipulation directly, they can be evaluated using an indirect approach. For instance, theory suggests that as the parasite infrapopulation grows, the investment of individual parasites in host manipulation decreases, because of cost sharing. Nos résultats montrent globalement une surestimation des salaires anticipés d'environ 9 pour cent en début de carrière, ce qui est cohérent avec des travaux réalisés dans d'autres pays. Interaction of construction costs and output in Latvia

Growth of an economy is strongly linked with the growth of the construction sector. An increased construction output must influence the costs in this area. Analysis of the construction output and construction costs in Latvia for the time period since 2006 until 2017 shows an average effect. The main goal is to forecast construction costs and output in Latvia. Comparative analysis of costs and output dynamics was done, and a general trend can be proven, but heteroscedasticity is being observed. The effect of construction output on costs is limited in scale, but similar in general tendency and author offers his discussion for possible reasons for inconsistencies in construction sector changes.
